Most transactions can be done at Michigan.gov/SOS
ST. JOHNS, Mich. - The Secretary of State office at 1041 South US-27 in St. Johns will permanently close at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, as it moves across the parking lot to a new site in the Southpoint Mall near Subway and Biggby Coffee.
The new office is located at 1087 South US-27, Suite A-19, in St. Johns and will open for business at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23. It offers new carpeting and counters, public restrooms, power-assist doors, and is closer to the mall entrance. A self-service station that is available 24/7 will be located in the vestibule of the new office.
During the weeklong closure, residents can complete their transactions online at Michigan.gov/SOS. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's administration has doubled the number of services available online and now most transactions can be done from computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
