John Cabot University Hosts Admitted Students Day 2024

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the John Cabot University Admissions Office hosted the Admitted Students Day. The University had the pleasure of welcoming over 50 people to its Guarini Campus in Rome, while more than 60 participated from remote. This year's Admitted Students Day saw the participation of students from Italy, USA, Romania, Czech Republic, Russia, and Spain, and from the U.S. states of New Jersey, Missouri, New York, Virginia, and Washington DC.

The event kicked off at 4 PM Rome-time with a campus tour, followed by opening remarks by Vice President of Academics Mary Merva and a welcome speech by Director of Admissions Arianna Catti De Gasperi. Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Pamela Harris gave a general overview of academics at JCU, followed by a presentation of the University's Career Services by Assistant Director of Career Services Federico Virzo. Interim Dean of Students Ariana Damaske provided an overview of JCU's Housing and Residential Life, Health and Wellbeing, Safety, and Orientation & Immigration. Lastly, Director of Student Services Pilar Murguia talked about Student Life at JCU. A Q&A session with Student Ambassadors and State Representatives followed, and the event concluded with closing remarks by JCU Admissions representatives, and a Meet and Greet Aperitivo in the Guarini Campus' Lemon Tree Courtyard.

"The Admitted Student Day was a great chance to meet the next generation of JCU students, understand their interests, hopes and aspirations. It was also a great way to connect with them, guide them around JCU campuses and address any doubts they had," explained Davide Ebraheem, JCU Student Ambassador.

"The event was an amazing opportunity for us to immerse ourselves into what the future university student life will be, while also experiencing the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere of JCU!" added David Apresian, Class of 2028.

The John Cabot University community looks forward to welcoming the students in person on campus next Fall.
