The works "Kindred Souls", "Children's Memory" and "Sonata No.8" are part of the charity exhibition "Spring Sacrament" of the artist Velina Hristova, which was opened at the National Assembly. The event was organized on the initiative of MP Ivaylo Mirchev. The exhibition includes 28 paintings, and the funds raised from their sale will be directed to support a creative workshop for disadvantaged children.

I am extremely proud to be able to present and thank an artist who has dedicated her art to helping talented children with special educational needs, said Elisaveta Belobradova, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Science. According to her, the paintings of Velina Hristova have a special harmony and it is an honour for the legislative institution to host such a charitable cause.

The artist Velina Hristova noted the highly responsible activity of MPs. She expressed the hope that with her paintings she was creating a small corner of joy and tranquility.

The author of the exhibition received as a gift the anniversary edition "140 Years of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria" with a wish for success.

Velina Hristova was born in Plovdiv and graduated from the National Academy of Arts. Her work is particularly sensitive in combination with innovation and gradation of different techniques. The paintings shown in the charity exhibition present a colorful fairytale world.

The event was attended by MPs, fine arts experts and journalists.
