Chinese Drones Above Your Head

This is nothing new: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is constantly testing the United States and looking for ways to surpass us as the globe's leading superpower. To accomplish that goal, Xi Jinping is willing to use any tool in his arsenal.

Take TikTok, for example. The popular video app is a national security threat in the palm of your hands. That's because ByteDance, TikTok's parent company headquartered in Beijing, shares private information with the People's Republic of China.

In effect, that means that any of YOUR personal data on TikTok will wind up in the hands of Xi Jinping. That is why, House Republicans passed legislation forcing ByteDance to either sell TikTok within a year or risk losing access to millions of American consumers.

Stopping our adversaries from stealing your personal information is a top priority of mine. It's time to continue this work by addressing Beijing's dominance of the drone market.

Nearly half of ALL drones sold in America are manufactured by Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI) - a company in which the CCP has heavily invested. DJI's drones have the ability to spy on America's military installations, target vital infrastructure, and steal your personal data.

Given that reality, I'm backing the Countering CCP Drones Act, which would block DJI's drones from being able to operate within America. There is no doubt in my mind that Chinese drones flying over your head are a threat to national security.
