Deck the halls and add the garland.
At least, that's what makes sense to us.
This holiday we have been here with some recipes, some style, some music - so we can't stop when it comes to the decor. This year, we loved the trend of simplistic, natural designs with a few DYI touches. Which makes sense as we immediately gravitated toward the simplicity of craft paper-wrapped gifts and small touches of seasonal colors through accents like twine. To bring a more 'homemade' touch to our tree, we love adding in polaroid photos among the traditional ornaments to serve as a reminder of the people and times that got us here, even when we're apart.
Also trending, a natural touch to holiday decor, specifically those incorporating pine cones and citrus as elements. Because, while wrapping presents is definitely a highlight, the holiday spirit seems at least partially tied to an appropriate amount of garland.
Feeling inspired, we thought it was worth taking a chance and trying out the trend ourselves.
