Continuing to Boost Student Math Achievement & Save Schools Money: Polis Administration Announces Over 750 Schools Have Already Signed Up for Free Digital Math Accelerator

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis announced that over 750 schools and 81 school districts have already signed up for the free digital math accelerator to provide top-rated math learning and educator training for kindergarten through eighth-grade students across Colorado.

"We are thrilled to see so many schools and districts have already signed up for this free, high-quality math support, and we encourage schools who haven't yet done so to sign up to use this great program in the coming school year. The math accelerator is free to schools and you can still sign up at about.zearn.org/colorado. In combination with our bipartisan work to boost student math achievement, we are making transformative investments to make sure every Colorado student has the tools and resources they need to thrive," said Governor Polis.

The digital math accelerator is provided at no cost to elementary and middle schools and school districts statewide that opt-in to participate, and includes free high-quality instructional materials, ongoing training for educators, and after-school tutoring resources for K-8 students. Zearn, the nonprofit educational organization behind top-rated math learning platform Zearn Math, is the platform provider.

Earlier this month at Thornton Elementary School, a Math Bright Spot Award recipient, Governor Polis signed into law bipartisan legislation to provide high-quality evidence-based math support for Colorado students with STEM-focused after-school programming and support for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade to get every Colorado student on track to math proficiency.
