URV students and faculty participate in the International Student Conference 2023 in Indonesia

The International Student Conference 2023 was held at Universitas KatolikParahyangan(Indonesia) from 3 to 7 January 2023. The URV professors who participated in the International Student Conference (ISC) and taught some workshops were Ferran Mañé, from the Department of Economics, and Immaculada Rosell, from the Department of History and History of Art. Three students from the university also participated: Adrian Alles, Nerea Perales and Ana Pastor, two of whom were members of the groups that won the prize for the final projects.

Immaculada Rosell was in charge of giving the workshop Solutions to Promote Education and LaborMarket Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities in Ordinary Environments, which encouraged the participants to explore possible solutions to promote inclusion in education and in the workplace.

On the other hand, Ferran Mañé gavethe workshop MSME as aPost-pandemic Lifeline, about the importance of micro, small and medium enterprises,understanding the difficulties they face and how to overcome them. The participants were asked to form groups and come up with a project design as a solution to the difficulties raised during the workshop.

The International Student Conference is an annual event organized by the Office for International Affairs and Cooperation of ParahyanganCatholic University (UNPAR).Itaims to provide a research platform for students around the world with a variety oflearning methods. During the ISC, there were two lectures, nine workshops, two visits and two cultural activities.

The reports that the attending students of the URV submitted clearly shows that they feltthat the event had a positive impact. One of the students pointed out that"INU is a network that connects both universities and people", while others mentiongood practices such as how well organized thestudentswere.

The theme of the conference, "Inclusivity and Accessibility to Welfare and Sustainable Living after the Pandemic", combined with cultural elements of the region, generated a suitable environment to provide greater insight intointercultural learning.
