4/29/24 Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, April 27, 2024, at approximately 12:53 a.m. Peoria Police observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the 1900 block of N. Peoria.
Officers observed the vehicle come to a stop in the 2200 block of N. Maryland at which time the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle was reported as stolen.
After a brief foot chase the driver, identified as a 15-year-old male was apprehended.
The male juvenile was previously arrested on 4/23/2024 for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
During a search of the subject officers located stolen property from a previous Vehicle Burglary on the juvenile's person.
He was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Criminal Damage to Property. (#24-8302). The teen was also arrested for Burglary to a Motor Vehicle,
Possession of Stolen Property, and Criminal Damage to Property.
The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
