The shelf in 2023 will be presented on 11 January

Mark your calendars for the morning of 11 January, when Director General Torgeir Stordal will be wrapping up the past year on the Norwegian shelf, and briefly addressing the years to come.

2023 has been a year characterised by a high level of activity - the keywords are plenty of projects and high production. There's also a lot happening in offshore wind and CO2 capture and storage

The Government has also initiated an opening process for exploration for and extraction of seabed minerals. The Storting (parliament) is slated to process the report Mineral activity on the Norwegian continental shelf - opening acreage and a strategy for managing the resources on 9 January.
