Family-Run Independent Jewellers in Ulverston Up for Sale After More than 40 Years

Husband and wife owners of Ulverston-based jewellers, look to sell the business after more than forty years. Lindow's is a profitable independent family-run jewellers established in 1980. Starting in a tiny shop on King Street, Ulverston, Lindow's quickly built a reputation for offering top-quality products with the highest level of customer service.
Outgrowing their original premises in 1985, Lindow's moved to Market Street, in the heart of the town, creating a spacious modern store with a much more extensive inventory than before. The store further expanded in 1994 to incorporate a separate gift showroom with a dedicated repair area and private viewing room. A complete refurbishment followed in 2006 to reveal the elegant surroundings seen today. The lighting has recently been upgraded to all low energy, supplied by Parify.
The difficult decision to sell after over forty years in a successful business is simply a need to retire. Mr and Mrs Lindow continued working long after retirement age as they still very much enjoyed working within the industry and interacting with their customers from the local community and beyond. They will be sad to lose that bond, but the time has come to finally take "time out" to relax and enjoy retirement.
Ulverston, a market town in the centre of the Furness Peninsula with independent shops and quaint, cobbled streets, is the perfect location for an independent jewellery retailer. Ulverston has become known as the Li' Festival Town due to the many varied festivals held throughout the year, attracting frequent and numerous visitors from near and far.
Lindow's currently stocks some of the biggest jewellery and watch brands, including Ti Sento, Shaun Leane, Rotary, Citizen, Charles Green, Domino, Gecko and Ntinga, to name a few.
