Cops and Bobbers Fishing Event for Kids

The Monona Police Department is excited to announce their 2nd Annual Cops and Bobbers fishing event!

This FREE event will take place on Saturday April 27th, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at the channel near the Emily Derer softball field. The date was moved back a week from last year to boost the probability of warmer weather while still ensuring the fish will be in the channel. Additionally, the event is scheduled on the same day as the Gigi's Playhouse Dash for Down Syndrome race event so we can show our support to them as well! So, if you're participating in that event or showing support for GiGi's Playhouse, stop over and catch some fish with us!

Kids who sign up will have the opportunity to fish with officers from Monona PD & McFarland PD as well as Deputies from the DCSO and Wardens from the WI DNR. All participants will be provided a fishing pole, bait and life jackets as well as free hot dogs, chips and water for lunch when they're done fishing.

This event is free, but we encourage you to register so we can get an idea of how much food to buy and how much fishing equipment to have on hand!
