Owls Secure Eight ASUN All-Conference Awards

All-Conference Teams | All-Academic Team
KENNESAW, Ga. - After earning a share of the ASUN Conference East Division title, Kennesaw State baseball secured eight all-conference awards. Five Owls combined to compile the eight accolades, which included one annual award, a first-team selection, two second-team selections, three all-freshmen selections and an all-academic honoree.
Freshman of the Year
For the first time in KSU baseball history, took home the ASUN Freshman of the Year award. The first baseman posted 54 starts and finished the regular season with a .367 batting average. He led the team with 28 multi-hit games and is tied for the team lead in RBI with 54. Cash's 19 doubles and nine home runs also rank second in the Owls' high-powered lineup. Along with being the Freshman of the Year, he was named to the second-team all-conference and all-freshman team.
First-Team All-Conference
The nation's doubles leader, , was named a first-team All-ASUN selection after a record-breaking season. The KSU center fielder holds a .397 batting average and set a KSU single-season record with 25 doubles. In a three-game stretch, Hatcher became the third player in NCAA history to hit for two cycles in the same year. He was named National Player of the Week by three different media outlets, the ASUN Player of the Week and earned the Golden Spikes Award National Performance of the Week. Against Jacksonville on Mar. 18, Hatcher became the first player in Owl' history to hit four doubles in a single game. He is the first KSU outfielder to be named a first-team All-ASUN selection since 2019.
Second-Team All-Conference
In addition to Cash, was also recognized on the All-ASUN second team. During his career at Kennesaw State, the shortstop has totaled 227 starts and is three shy of tying the program record. This season, Simon was one-of-three Owls to start all 56 games. He finished with career-highs in batting average (.313), home runs (5), RBI (45) and runs scored (53). Simon is also the 10th player in KSU history to reach the 200-hit milestone. Earlier in the year, he was named to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team and was also added to the Brooks Wallace Award midseason watch list, an award given to the nation's top shortstop.
All-Freshmen Team
The Owls landed three players on the ASUN All-Freshmen team with Cash, , and . Corbin, the Owls' three-hole hitter, started 51 games and finished third on the team with a .314 batting average. The outfielder belted five home runs, nine doubles and one triple. He also registered 35 RBI and 46 runs scored. Both he and Cash were two of the three unanimous All-Freshmen selections.

Pinson finished the regular season as the team leader in wins (6), ERA (3.50) and strikeouts (77). The right-hander tallied 61.2 innings and held opponents to a .221 batting average against. Pinson recorded 21 appearances, good for second on the team, with three starts. Against Stetson, the freshman came on in relief and recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts. He is the first KSU pitcher to be named to the All-Freshmen team since in 2018.
All-Academic Team
was the first Owl since 2019 to be named to the ASUN Conference All-Academic team. The shortstop holds a 4.0 GPA in the healthcare management and informatics graduate degree program and received a bachelor's degree in biology with a 3.51 GPA. Simon was also selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team for his performance in the classroom.

KSU will begin play in the ASUN Championship with one pool play game on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (May 24-26) for an opportunity to move into the single-elimination portion of the bracket which begins Friday. The top three teams in Pool A will advance to bracket play while the winner from Pool B will join for a four-team playoff.
