SPRC supports Rayong’s Khao Laam Merit-Making Festival 2024

Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) supported the merit-making activities of the third lunar month merit-making or sticky rice in bamboo merit-making for Map Ta Phut communities and local small boat fisheries groups in Rayong, totaling 114,000 baht. In this merit-making festival, each family made sticky rice in bamboo (Khao Laam) to offer to the monks at the temple and share with others. This year, the festival took place from February 11 to March 9, 2024, at the community center and the fishermen group center, in Rayong province.

SPRC recognizes the importance of local culture and is committed to preserving cultural heritages. Apart from the financial aid, SPRC volunteers also took part in the festival and assisted the local people in preparing Khao Laam (sticky rice in bamboo), demonstrating goodwill and strengthening the relationship between the company and the local community.
