Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan attended the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers

On October 12, 2023, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Bishkek.

At the event, the heads of the foreign policy departments of Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Secretary General of the CIS discussed current issues of cooperation within the Commonwealth and approved draft documents submitted for consideration by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.

In Bishkek, the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry also held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik. The ministers discussed a number of promising areas for further development of bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to the schedule of upcoming exchanges and economic diplomacy.
