Following on from Marseille and Pointe à Pitre, the CMA CGM Foundation's social incubator Le Phare is developing its program in Abidjan.
Four startups will benefit from nine months of free support at the premises of ZEBOX WEST AFRICA, which opened on June 7, 2023.
These four ventures are working on innovative solutions to address the key challenges facing Côte d'Ivoire and concerns shared by the CMA CGM Foundation, such as the need to make it easier for everyone to access education and taking action to combat food insecurity.
TG Master: a startup founded in Côte d'Ivoire in 2013 to train young Africans by means of university preparation classes and digital content. It aims to support the emergence of a class of African entrepreneurs and business leaders able to drive the economy forwards and defend the continent's interests on the international stage.
Studio Kä:an independent 2D/3D animation and specialist educational films production company promoting Africa's cultural diversity. Its stories celebrate the beauty and richness of the lives, history, and legends of African people, as well as contributing to children's education.
Bii: a social startup combating food waste and insecurity by making use of unsold food, putting members of the food industry into contact with charities and via a B2C marketplace for selling surplus food, as well as calling for anti-waste legislation.
Les icônes de Kimia: a collection of fun and educational books for young people celebrating Africa's cultural heritage.
