Pedro Rafael Tellechea Appointed as New Minister of Oil

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced on Tuesday night the appointment of Pedro Rafael Tellechea, as the new Minister of Oil.

Through a message on his social network Twitter @NicolasMaduro, the President announced the information.

"I met with the president of PDVSA, Engineer Pedro Tellechea, I appointed him as the new minister of Oil, in the transformation process that the industry is going through. Maximum Efficiency Companion!" said Maduro.

In response to this appointment, Tellechea tweeted @tellechearuiz: "I count on my best efforts and full commitment to continue contributing to the economic and social development of our Homeland, with his leadership together with the entire government team. Teamwork, Sure Victory!".

The young mechanical engineer with a specialty in public finance has assumed responsibilities in various state enterprises since the reactivation of the state reducer Industria Venezolana del Aluminio C.A., CVG Venalum, in Guyana; passing through the Petrochemical area in Pequiven S.A., and since 6 January assumed the reins of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., (PDVSA).

Also, the new Minister of Petroleum played a fundamental role in the recovery of Monomeros Colombo Venezolano S.A., a subsidiary of Pequiven in Colombia, in which it established a new board of directors in September 2022, promoting its production processes for the benefit of Colombian farmers.
