Major $40 million contract spanning three years signed in Kazakhstan

CIS strengthens its presence in Eurasia in the mining sector

CIS announces a major three-year contract totalling $40 million to work on behalf of the UK mining company Kazakhmys, the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan.

The contract won by CIS covers the management of 36 kitchens in the Zheskazgan region, located 700 km from Astana, and catering services for 6,000 people per day.

Following on from a successful initial experience, this customer has once again demonstrated its trust in CIS with this contract involving the management of a larger scope of operations.

To honour this contract, more than 600 new employees need to be hired locally.

After a start-up at the beginning of April, to the customer's satisfaction, the full impact on CIS's revenue will be felt in the second half of the current financial year.

In addition, this substantial new business strengthens the Group's presence in Kazakhstan, where it has been active since 1992.
