INS Tabar Arrived at Mombasa

INS Tabar arrived at Mombasa, Kenya on 14 August 2022 to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, to commemorates 75 years of India's Independence. During her stay at Mombasa, the ship will participate in a number of activities, including a flag hoisting ceremony onboard on 15 August 2022 to be attended by senior officials of the Kenya Navy, civilian guests and members of the Indian diaspora. On 16 August 2022, a India-Kenya Friendship Run has been planned at the Mtongwe Naval Base, wherein over 100 participants, including 40 personnel from INS Tabar, civilian guests, and representatives of Indian community are likely to participate. A medical camp is also planned to be conducted by the ship at Mtongwe County Healthcare Centre.India and Kenya share a special bilateral relationship that spans several decades. The two nations are Maritime neighbours and share a rich legacy of age-old civilizational and cultural linkages. Contemporary ties between them have evolved into a robust and multi-faceted partnership, marked by high level visits, increasing bilateral trade and investments, and extensive people-to-people contact.
