Reminder: Student Tech Fee Committee seeks comments from the campus community by May 3

Comments are due May 3 on the Student Tech Fee (STF) Tech Initiatives proposals. The STF Tech Initiatives Committee appreciates comments from all students, faculty, and staff, and the 9 proposals are posted on the STF website for your review.

Your voice is important! Comments from the Western community contribute significantly to the committee's decision-making process. As university funding continues to face challenges, it is crucial that we spend this student fee wisely.

For AY 2024, the portion of the Student Tech Fee earmarked for Tech Initiatives proposals is approximately $245,000.

Tech Initiatives are technology projects that support the Student Technology Fee mission, which follows:

The Student Technology Fee provides Western students with adequate and innovative technology experiences by:

• Broadening/enhancing the quality of the academic experience,
• Providing additional student access to technology, and
• Increasing integration of technology into the curriculum.
