UEA statement on graduation charges

UEA graduation is a non profit making event. A charge for guest tickets has been introduced for this year to support some of the running costs and to ensure that we can continue to provide an event of this standard on campus.

Students do not need to pay for a ticket to attend their ceremony. Whole event guest tickets, costing £20, include entry to the ceremony hall and the festival zone, including live music to celebrate after the ceremony. A limited number of £10 tickets will also be available, giving access to the festival zone, a live screening of the ceremony and live music.

Charging for guests to attend graduation ceremonies is standard practice in many universities and we believe that our ceremony, with festival zone and live music, offers value for money and an excellent celebration for our students and their guests.
