Mayor Eric Johnson's statement on the Chauvin verdict

DALLAS - Mayor Eric Johnson on Tuesday issued the following statement after a jury in Minnesota found Derek Chauvin guilty on all charges related to the killing of George Floyd:

'A jury of Derek Chauvin's peers has delivered justice in the only way that they could. Ultimately, the rule of law prevailed.

'We still have more work ahead of us to make our city stronger, safer, and more equitable. But today, the system worked.'
