British Marine releases new UKCA Declaration of Conformity templates

British Marine has released a pack of UKCA Declaration of Conformity templates. Following the UK's departure from the European Union, certain products are required to be CE marked under the Recreational Craft Directive (RCD). Those products are required to meet the amended Recreational Craft Regulations and be UKCA marked either by 1 January 2021 or the 1 January 2022.

One of the requirements of the new UK regulations is that a Declaration of Conformity must be completed by the manufacturer, the same process as the Declaration of Conformity required by the RCD.

Whilst there is no mandatory requirement to use an agreed template, previously a template had been created for simplification. British Marine has reviewed this RCD template and modified it for use with the Recreational Craft Regulations and UKCA mark. Using this template may assist companies with ensuring the relevant information is provided.
