High Friction Surface Treatment Project Continues in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a High Friction Service Treatment (HFST) project continues on Route 15 in Lewis Township and Route 2018 (Four Mile Drive) in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024 through Friday, May 31, 2024, the contractor, Venture Construction, will apply a HFST on the northbound lanes of Route 15 in the area of Powey's Curve, approximately 3.5 miles south of the Trout Run exit ramp to Route 14. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, weather permitting. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed.

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the contractor will apply HFST on the eastbound lane of Four Mile Drive between Nast Avenue and Route 2039 (Warrensville Road). Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, weather permitting. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution through the work zone.

Venture Construction is the prime contractor for this $466,923.66 high friction surface treatment project. Work includes application of a high friction surface treatment and new traffic line paint. Work on this project is expected to be completed by late October 2024.
