Jerry Alcazar joins Product Liability Advisory Council, Inc as a sustaining member

Minneapolis partner Jerry Alcazar has been accepted as a sustaining member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, Inc (PLAC), a not-for-profit association of product manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and select regulatory, litigation and appellate professionals.

PLAC members work together to shape the common law of product liability, provide guidance on changing regulations and assist corporations in addressing and responding to state, federal and international regulatory framework, due process in legal proceedings and environmental, health and safety risk concerns related to their design, manufacturing and distribution of products.

Alcazar, who joined the firm last year from Blackwell Burke P.A., is a national litigation and trial counsel for major corporations. He has a highly developed and sophisticated product liability practice which includes high-stakes disputes. His trial and arbitration experience includes representing medical device and chemical product manufacturers, financial institutions, food producers, transportation companies and developers.

PLAC has more than 80 corporate members from multi-national and national corporations of manufacturers and suppliers and over 350 leading regulatory, litigation and appellate professionals. Sustaining members, which come from firms around the world, are leaders in the regulatory, commercial litigation and appellate areas of the law and are personally invited to join the association.

As a sustaining member, Alcazar will draft amicus briefs, formulate and deliver compelling seminar content and lead special projects. He will also advise PLAC's corporate counsel in regard to strategies, experts and mediators.
