Alen Simonyan Receives the Delegation Led by Chair of Mexico-Armenia Friendship Group

On January 18, the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan received the delegation led by the Chair of the Mexico-Armenia Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Berenice Juárez Navarrete.

Both sides expressed interest on activating and deepening the cooperation.

A talk was held on the post-war situation and the Lachin corridor crisis. Alen Simonyan highly appreciated the statement made by the representative of Mexico and the position of Mexico at the UN Security Council Emergency Meeting in December 2022. At the same time, the RA NA President noted that at the meeting held in the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico congratulating the special envoy of the President of Azerbaijan Elchin Amirbayov from the Chair of the Azerbaijan-Mexico Friendship Group for the victory in the 2020 war contradicts the official position of Mexico on the non-use of force, the settlement of conflicts through negotiations and the non-intervention to them.

The sides highlighted the activities of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

The Mexican colleague noted that there are many interesting things to learn from Armenia, adding that the joint work agenda will facilitate the exchange of experience and will activate the communication efficiency.
