Ningbo Airport hits new high for daily passenger flow

With the passing of the Spring Festival holiday, the number of returning passengers has gradually increased and Ningbo Airport has ushered in a peak of passenger flow. On February 13, the daily passenger flow in and out of Ningbo Airport reached 477,400, setting a new historical high since the opening of the airport.

According to the airport, from January 26 to February 13, Ningbo Airport has transported a total of 789,000 passengers, an increase of 65.5% compared to the same period in 2023 and 10.0% compared to the same period in 2019.

This year's Spring Festival travel rush saw a concentrated release of passenger travel demand, with an unprecedented surge in demand for travel to the northeastern area of China. In order to facilitate more "southern snow goers" to experience ice and snow tours, Ningbo Airport has actively docked with airlines to increase its northeast transportation capacity. During the Spring Festival travel period, new flights to Changbai Mountain and Mudanjiang have been added, and flights to Harbin and Changchun have been increased.

In addition, flights for Spring Festival travel routes to such popular destinations as Chongqing, Guangzhou, Guiyang, and Zunyi have also been increased. In terms of international regional flights, on the basis of stable operation of flights to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, Budapest, Singapore, Tokyo, Jeju, and Bangkok, Ningbo Airport has increased the number of flights to the Southeast Asian destinations, including Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Caticlan, and Phuket, to meet the demands of the passengers' outbound travel preferences. The number of flights to Osaka, which operates two times a week, has been increased to three times a week.
