On June 20, 2024, the New York State Police in Rochester, Gun Involved Violence Elimination Unit, attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder in the area of Joseph Avenue and Upper Falls Blvd in the city of Rochester. The suspect vehicle failed to comply and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The pursuit traversed multiple city streets until it was terminated due to unsafe conditions. Rochester Police Department located the vehicle and had numerous occupants flee from the vehicle in the area of Avis Street. The occupants of the suspect vehicle were taken into custody. The operator, Brittany L. Hollaert, age 27, of Rochester, NY, had multiple warrants for numerous agencies. Hollaert was issued traffic infractions and was turned over to the Rochester Police Department.
