State Police arrest Albany man for possessing child pornography

On May 1, 2024, State Police of Latham, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, arrested Daniel J. Lusignan, 23, of Albany, NY, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class "E" felony.

Lusignan is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant on his home in Albany, NY, on May 1, 2024. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Lusignan was arrested and processed at SP Latham. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on May 14, 2024, and released.
