Every year, Scottsdale's Adopt-A-Senior Program serves low-income seniors and disabled adults in our community. The generosity from the sponsors and donors has a tremendous impact on brightening the seniors' and adults' holiday season. Every year the participating seniors fill out a "wish list" and sponsors from all over the Valley go out and shop! The senior centers rely heavily on donations to keep the program running. The centers are now accepting sponsorships and donations.

The goal is to assist 330 seniors, and to date only 70 are 'sponsored'. Here are ways you can help Scottsdale reach its goal:

Become a sponsor

  • A Thanksgiving sponsor will provide a $35 Grocery Card
  • A Holiday sponsor will receive a wish list containing no more than 5 items from a senior to purchase, give a $35 grocery card and a book of stamps. The average holiday sponsor spends between $150 to $200 on all items.

When signing up as a sponsor, you will select if you are signing up to sponsor for both programs, or only one. Sign up to be a sponsor here.

Make a donation
If sponsoring a senior is not an option, Scottsdale also accepts monetary and in-kind donations. Make a monetary donation through Scottsdale Community Partners, a 501-C3 that supports Scottsdale Human Services. Be sure to include "Adopt-A-Senior" in the comment area.

You can donate items directly to the senior center. Here is a current list of Senior needs for the 2022 program.
