AVEVA continues commitment to supporting young scholars through scholarships, immersive on-site experiences, and guaranteed job placement at second HBCU

HOUSTON, April 24, 2024 - AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, today announced that the AVEVA Scholars Program is available at Prairie View A&M University. The initiative, which spans three years, is aimed at supporting students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through scholarships and immersive onsite experiences, ultimately paving the way for talented scholars to join the AVEVA team upon graduation.

The AVEVA Scholars Program, which also launched at Howard University, offers a unique opportunity for students classified as sophomores in Fall 2024 majoring in Engineering and Computer Science.

Key features of the program include:

  • A $14,000 scholarship payment per year for three years
  • A six-week AVEVA on-site experience with a $7,000 stipend and group housing accommodation provided
  • Guaranteed job placement at AVEVA upon meeting relevant criteria

The on-site program is scheduled to officially commence in June 2024, running for six weeks. During this period, students will receive a comprehensive induction, orientation to AVEVA's business and products, and exposure to the company's values and culture. The program will also focus on developing interpersonal skills through Action for Good activities (Action for Good (aveva.com), presentation skills, etiquette guidance, and social activities.

Scholars who meet relevant criteria can expect a full-time role waiting for them at AVEVA after graduation. By investing in young scholars, AVEVA aims to future-proof its talent pipeline.

"The AVEVA Scholars Program is not just about education; it's about creating opportunities and forging a path for talented individuals to join AVEVA, driving innovation and making a meaningful impact on our industry and beyond," said Caspar Herzberg, CEO of AVEVA. "By involving and listening to our employee groups, we can understand the challenges we need to address, take action and develop inclusive programs that will make a difference."

"Prairie View A&M University is thrilled to partner with AVEVA on this groundbreaking Scholars Program as it will have a profound impact on our students and their educational journey," said Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande, President of Prairie View A&M University. "This scholarship program will empower our students to not only unlock a brighter future for themselves but to contribute to the building of a more inclusive and innovative workforce for generations to come."
