NRCS Offers Webinar for Prospective RCPP Applicants

U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is hosting a virtual webinar for prospective applicants interested in submitting partner-driven conservation project proposals through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

The RCPP Applicant Outreach Webinar is scheduled for 8-10 a.m. HST, on April 23 and May 30. Applicants interested in attending, should register using the link under each event.

An RCPP easement specific webinar will be offered at a date yet to be determined.

Applicants can submit proposals now through July 2 for RCPP funding consideration in 2025. RCPP in PIA
Pacific Islands Area NRCS currently has four active RCPP projects in Hawaiiand looks to expand projects throughout its territories, which includes the state of Hawaii, territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Freely Associated States. A fifth project is currently under review for implementation and is expected to be active in the coming months.

Interested Pacific Islands Area partners should contact Scott Turgeon, RCPP coordinator for Pacific Islands Area NRCS, at [email protected]as soon as possible to ensure adequate time to formulate a project proposal, including:

  • identifying potential project ideas,
  • obtaining access to the RCPP poral used for submitting proposals, and
  • answering questions about the proposal process.
