The Environment Agency is working with partners on a major new scheme to reduce flood risk to homes and businesses in Oxford, as well as to services and major transport routes into the city.

    Updated texted 1) final planning decision now summer 2019. 2) Changed date to 2020 "If all approvals are granted construction will start in 2020 and is expected to take 3 to 4 years." 3) Added lines in the CPO section - "We have had confirmation from Defra that they intend to hold a Public Inquiry and a date is being confirmed for this. Due to the timeframes needed for this part of the process, the earliest construction of the scheme will start is in 2020."
