XXIV Triennale Milano International Exhibition presented to international representatives

Triennale Milano hosted on 29 February an information session with consular delegates in Milan to present representatives from countries from around the world with plans for the upcoming XXIV International Exhibition.

The event gathered representatives of the governments, consulates, embassies and cultural institutes of 53 countries that are invited to participate in the XXIV Triennale Milano International Exhibition. Organised under the theme "Inequalities - How to mend the fractures of humanity", the XXIV International Exhibition will be held between 17 May and 16 November 2025.

Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano welcomed attendees in the meeting, alongside Verónica Crego, Consul-General of Uruguay and Deacon of the consular corps of Milan and Lombardia, and Carlo Morogallo, Director General of Triennale Milano. A video message was also shared from Dimitri S. Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

The President of Triennale Milano stated: "The choice of a theme such as Inequalities for the next International Exhibition aligns with the Triennale Milano's longstanding commitment to the project of cultural diplomacy. This meeting with the Consular Corps of Milan and Lombardy, ahead of the meeting in Rome with ambassadors and the international Diplomatic Corps, has confirmed the great attention that culture today pays to the projects and policies in cities worldwide seeking to reduce income, social, and gender inequalities, as well as inequalities in access to services and information. Inequalities - and thus not simply diversity - have enormously increased in recent years."

The Secretary General of the BIE stated: "The Triennale Milano provides a unique venue for eminent creators and researchers to experiment and critically reflect on challenges faced by all humanity. By inviting artists, architects, and researchers from around the world to challenge inequalities and present their solutions, this 24th International Exhibition is proposing an abstract take on the growing inequalities that threaten modern societies."

The XXIV Triennale Milano International Exhibition was formally recognised by the BIE during its 173rd General Assembly on 28 November 2023. As with previous editions, it will be composed of a thematic exhibition and international participation to showcase ideas, projects and research from around the world. Institutions and non-state bodies are also being called upon to contribute towards the exhibits of the XXIV International Exhibition.
