PRESS RELEASE

Moody's maintained Tunisia's long-term foreign and local currency rating at 'Caa2' while improving the outlook from negative to stable.

In its statement published on the occasion, Moody's Ratings agency attributes its decision to a significant reduction in the current account deficit compared to historical levels and previous forecasts of the agency, which supported the level of foreign Exchange reserves and helped to repay two successive international loans in October 2023 and February 2024. Moody's believes that Tunisia's rating could be upgraded if progress in structural reforms strengthens.
