Three Suzhou contestants to participate in WorldSkills Lyon 2024

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently announced the name list of the Chinese delegation for the WorldSkills Lyon 2024. There are 3 contestants from Suzhou, marking the highest number among the cities in Jiangsu Province.

The three qualifiers from Suzhou will vie for glory on behalf of China in the competition items of Business Software Solutions, Baking, and Sugar Art/Pastry-making at the 47th WorldSkills Competition to be held in Lyons, France, this September.

The WorldSkills Competition, known as the "Olympics for vocational skills", is the highest-level vocational skills competition in the world. It is held every two years by the WorldSkills Organization, which is committed to inspiring young people to develop a passion for skills and pursuing excellence and building a global platform of skills for all.

On October 4, 2011, the 41st WorldSkills Competition was held in London, the UK. China sent a delegation to participate in the competition for the first time and Suzhou contestants won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze with their outstanding performance.
