As part of their Content Marketing module, 35 Digital Marketing students were tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive content marketing campaign tailored to the needs of SI Leeds.

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls with nearly 80,000 Members in 124 countries. SI Leeds is part of the global organisation and works at a local level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. The collaboration with LBU arose from the organisation's need to rejuvenate its digital marketing efforts.

The client brief emphasised the importance of content marketing in driving engagement and growth for the organisation, highlighting the need for diverse, engaging, and targeted content across various digital channels.

Initially, students conducted thorough research on SI Leeds, identifying the target audience, suitable channels, and content formats. They then created a bespoke content marketing plan and worked in teams to produce content including videos, infographics, articles, blogs, and newsletters.

The culmination of the project saw students present their campaigns in a live format, including a Q&A session with SI Leeds. The presentations, held on 30 April and 2 May, were attended by Clare Miller, Lecturer in Marketing and Module Leader at Leeds Beckett University, who praised the students for their professionalism and creativity: "Our Level 5 Digital Marketing students have worked incredibly hard on their live client brief for SI Leeds. The students have taken on the challenge with professionalism, team spirit, creativity, and hard work, and the results have been excellent. Working with such an important organisation like SI Leeds has been a great experience and has offered LBU students a valuable opportunity to apply their learning in a real-world context"

Terry King OBE,President of SI Leeds, added: "It has been a delight working with Clare and her students. The resulting presentations were excellent and gave SI Leeds more content than we could ever have dreamed of."
