Most City Facilities Closing Early Today Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Due to the forecasted severe weather outlook, most City of Cedar Rapids offices, facilities and programs will close at 4 p.m. today, March 31, 2023. The following City services will operate as indicated:

• Bender Pool, closing at 4:30 p.m.
• Northwest Recreation Center, closing at 4:30 p.m.
• Golf Courses, closing at 4:30 p.m.
• Transit Services will remain operational on the regular schedule.
• Fire Department - Operating normally.
• Police Department - Operating normally.

City staff are monitoring the severe weather event and are ready to engage an Incident Management response should the weather present inclement challenges.
