National Drug Takeback Day

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. One way to safely dispose of unused, unneeded, and expired prescription medications is to drop them off at a National Take Back event! The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be hosting a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Apr. 27th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Westerville Division of Police (WPD) will help collect prescription medications for disposal at Market District (Giant Eagle) store located at 650 N. State St.

Those unable to make it to the event can drop off prescriptions in the marked receptacle in our lobby (229 Huber Village Blvd). Please first consult the City's Medication Disposal web page to confirm what can be placed in this container.

Visit DEATakeBack.com for alternate collection sites near you.
