MoDOT will close the intersection at U.S. 169 and 188th St. in all directions

CLAY COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting intersection improvements resulting in the traffic modifications below. All work is weather permitting.

  • MoDOT has closed 188th street to the west of U.S. 169 in Smithville starting at 7 a.m. on Mon., May 6 until July 12.
  • MoDOT will close the intersection at U.S. 169 and 188th St. in all directions starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 until July 12.

Detour information:

Motorists should follow the signed detour to navigate around the closure. Northbound traffic is directed to take U.S. 169, to MO 92, to Route C, to Route W, and then back to U.S. 169. Southbound traffic is directed to take U.S. 169, to Route W, to Route C, to MO 92, and then back to U.S. 169.
