A $250,000 project to repair Route 8 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County is scheduled to start soon.

The project will focus on correcting a portion of roadway just south of the border between Cherrytree Township and the City of Titusville. Work will include stabilizing the ground with sheet metal piles, upgrades to drainage, shoulder repairs, and guiderail and paving marking updates.

Construction is expected to begin May 13, 2024, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by October 2024.

The contractor is Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion, PA. The contract cost is $257,007, which is to be paid entirely with state funds.
