Congressman John Rutherford Announces Annual Congressional Art Competition for FL-05 Constituents

JACKSONVILLE, FL- Congressman John Rutherford (FL-05) is excited to announce the launch of the annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students residing in Florida's 5th Congressional District. This prestigious competition provides an exceptional opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents and have their artwork displayed in the United States Capitol.

The Congressional Art Competition, established in 1982, is open to all high school students within the FL-05 district. Submissions can include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography. All entries must be original in concept, design, and execution.

"We are thrilled to once again host the Congressional Art Competition, celebrating the artistic achievements of our talented youth in FL-05," said Congressman Rutherford. "This competition not only highlights the creativity and skill of our young artists but also underscores the importance of arts education in our communities."

The deadline for submissions is May 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Entries must be delivered to Congressman Rutherford's district office, located at 4130 Salisbury Rd., Ste. 2500, Jacksonville, FL 32216. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of local art professionals.
