On December 8, the President will award Gold Star medals to Heroes of Russia 2022-12-07 Team of the Official Website of the President of Russia

Vladimir Putin will present Gold Star medals to Heroes of Russia on the eve of Heroes of the Fatherland Day.

More than 200 military members and civilians who have shown particular courage and heroism have been invited to the ceremony in St George's Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. The event participants will include Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and holders of the Order of St George.

The tradition of honouring Heroes of the Fatherland was resumed in accordance with the President's instructions in 2013.
