This week, Amador County Public Health transitioned to using the My Turn platform for COVID-19 vaccination clinics registration: https://myturn.ca.gov/. The next vaccination clinic is scheduled for this Friday, April 23, 2021. To register for a vaccine appointment, visit: https://myturn.ca.gov/ or, for those without internet access, call 1-833-422-4255 for assistance scheduling an appointment. Amador County Public Health Vaccine clinics are announced via e-notification and updated on the Amador COVID-19 vaccine information page: https://www.amadorgov.org/services/covid-19. Over 25,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Amador to-date. Over 9,000 Amador residents are fully vaccinated.

Jackson CVS, Safeway, Walgreens, and Walmart pharmacies are also offering COVID-19 vaccine by appointment as well. Vaccine appointments are scheduled via their respective websites. Residents may also reach out to their health care provider to inquire if vaccine is available within their health care system.

Last week, California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released recommendations for those who are fully vaccinated. Two weeks after receiving the second dose of the two-dose series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine (or 2 weeks after single-dose Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine) they may spend time with other fully vaccinated people without masks or physical distancing. Fully vaccinated individuals also may refrain from quarantine after exposure to a known positive as long as they are asymptomatic. These guidelines do not apply to workplace or healthcare settings. More information may be found on the CDPH website: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/COVID-19-Public-Health-Recommendations-for-Fully-Vaccinated-People.aspx.
