S&C Advises Groupement Les Mousquetaires on Agreement to Acquire Stores from the Casino Group, Extend Partnership

On May 26, Les Mousquetaires, one of the largest food retailers in France, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Casino Group, a publicly-listed French retail group, to acquire an undisclosed number of hypermarkets and supermarkets operated by Casino representing around €1.65 billion of turnover. The first acquisitions will take place by the end of 2023.

Groupement Les Mousquetaires will also take a minority stake in the Casino Group's future financing round, with an equity investment of €100 million, and extend their existing industrial and purchasing partnerships until 2028.
