Eversheds Sutherland and KWM advise Youngor on the acquisition of Bonpoint

In collaboration with King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) China, we have advised Youngor, a family-owned Chinese conglomerate, on its acquisition of Bonpoint, a French luxury children's ready-to-wear brand, from private investment company, EPI.

Youngor is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and is a leader in high-end men's ready-to-wear , with its renowned brands Youngor and Mayor. Youngor has established itself as a major player in both the domestic and international markets. Bonpoint is a globally renowned luxury childrens' ready-to-wear brand, celebrated for its timeless elegance, exceptional craftsmanship, and dedication to quality.

This strategic transaction will enable Youngor to diversify its portfolio and strengthen its international footprint in the luxury sector.

In Paris, the Eversheds Sutherland teams was led by Franck Bourgeois (partner) and Vladimir Legrand for the corporate/M&A aspects of the transaction. The due diligences of the operation involved Gaëtan Cordier (partner) and Mélanie Dubreuil-Blanchard for intellectual property, Dan Roskis (partner) and Julie Poivey in commercial law, Patrick Gerry (partner) and Guillaume Hesse in real estate law, Louis-Jerome Laisney (partner) and Oulematou Sy in financial law, and Deborah Attali (partner) and Nicolas Etcheparre in employment law. In London, Barri Mendelsohn (partner) and Michelle Ye also advised on corporate/M&A due diligences.

In Shanghai, the buyer was assisted by King & Wood Mallesons (KWM), with Yang Ming (partner) and Wang Min.
