Utilities Department to Commence a Water Main Improvement Project Along University Drive

APRIL 25, 2024

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie Utilities Department will commence a water main improvement project along University Drive between Nova Drive/Southwest 24th Street and Southwest 33rd Street (see map below). The project is scheduled to begin April 28, 2024, and is anticipated to conclude by November 2024.

Work will be performed by DBE Utility Services, Inc., and will include replacing the existing water main and installing new 16-inch and 18-inch water mains. The new water mains will provide better fire protection and service pressure.

What to Expect:

• Outdoor Noise - Construction sounds are expected to be produced by operating equipment necessary to install the new water mains and service connections.
• Traffic Disruptions - Construction crews will perform work within the swale areas and roads will remain open for traffic flow.
