GAS, THE DOG THAT WAS ADOPTED BY CORAL GAS, GROWS UP AND BECOMES THE "EYES" OF A HUMAN BEING

It turns out to be a valuable companion for people with vision problems.

Coral Gas, as part of company's social responsibility activities and with the message "Together, our world is getting better", supports the mission of Liberty - a non-profit organization that trains guide dogs and provides them free of charge to people who are blind or have a degree of visual impairment.

A year ago, Coral Gas adopted a small dog, Gas, with the aim of becoming a faithful companion and guide. Having thus entered her first year of life, she has already been introduced to the instructions regarding her training as a guide dog for blind people. Although this stage of training begins around the first year of guide dogs' lives, Gas has already managed to reach a highly satisfactory stage thanks to her early stages of training (socialization and basic obedience), the dedication of her trainers and to her extraordinary will.

The process of socialization is an extremely necessary process for the training course of the guide dog but also for the life of the guide dog and the final handler. That is why, in collaboration with the contractors, Liberty took care of her proper socialization. She has now come into contact with many people, animals and sounds, various environments as well as public transportation and is fully familiar with conditions and situations necessary to drive her future handler. He has learned to behave well outdoors and manage distractions.

Throughout this discovery process for Gas, which was carried out with great care, giving her the necessary time and no doubt endless love, treats and toys, she was learning the basic commands every day.

Soon she will be able to drive a man safely through the demanding roads of Greece, avoiding the various obstacles that appear at almost every turn.

Mr. Panagiotis Haritopoulos, General Manager of Coral Gas, said: "Liberty's work is characterized by selflessness and it is a cause that we embrace with great love. Every day Gas proves its commitment to its goal and Coral Gas is by her side so that we cover the basic needs. Gas will soon take action and we will feel proud to have helped a person who needs this essential company »

Yiannis Kondraros, founder of Liberty said "We are extremely grateful to be working with Gas and we all believe that she will be a very good guide and companion for her future boss. We are very grateful to Coral Gas for the opportunity it gave us to collaborate and help in the daily life of a visually impaired person"
