AIA New York Elevates 10 Local Architects to the College of Fellows

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is elevating 10 AIA members from AIA New York to its prestigious College of Fellows, AIA's highest membership honor, for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society.

The fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Architects who have been elevated to fellowship can be identified by the designation FAIA after their name.

In 2024, AIA received 218 applications for Fellowship, with 96 candidates being elevated. Among them are the following 10 newly elevated members from AIA New York:

Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, FAIA, University of Pennsylvania, Weitzman School of Design
John Woelfling, FAIA, Dattner Architects

New fellows will be honored at the AIA Awards Gala, June 7, 2024, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Additionally, AIA New York will host a New Fellows reception to celebrate its elevated members on March 20, 2024, 6-8pm, at the Center for Architecture.
