Garner Foods® recalls two Texas Pete® Wing Sauces due to mislabeling

Garner Foods® issuing an immediate recall on two of their Texas Pete® Wing Sauces, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent May 24.

The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.

Some packages of Texas Pete® Extra Mild Wing Sauce are mislabeled as Texas Pete® Buffalo Wing Sauce. Texas Pete® Extra Mild Wing Sauce contains soy allergens. Thus, some mislabeled Texas Pete® Buffalo Wing Sauce may contain soy allergens.

The following products are affected by this recall:

  • Texas Pete® Extra Mild Wing Sauce: UPC 075500101038 "Enjoy By" date Dec. 6, 2023
  • Texas Pete® Buffalo Wing Sauce: UPC 075500100116 "Enjoy By" date Dec. 6, 2023

Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
