Bank of Hawaii Announces New Executive Vice President Chief Investment Officer Roger Khlopin

Roger Khlopin, chief investment officer and director of investment management services, has been promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president at Bank of Hawaii. Khlopin and his portfolio management team successfully oversee nearly $8 billion of discretionary fixed income and equity assets for high net worth and institutional clients.

Khlopin rejoined Bank of Hawaii in 2016 initially serving as vice president and senior portfolio manager. He was promoted to senior vice president and chief investment officer in 2018. Over a span of 18 years with the bank, he has held various positions within the Investment Services Group, including manager of institutional equity and manager for the Pacific Capital Growth Stock Fund for which he earned Morningstar's highest rating of five stars.

Khlopin has more than 25 years of broad experience in portfolio management and investment research. He began his career in New York City as a securities research analyst with Sanford Bernstein and later Smith Barney, now known as Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Khlopin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from New York University. He also received a graduate certificate in professional accounting from the University of Hawai'i.
